FTI Services is a start-up LLC is owned by Dr. Melvis Barnett, who is a proven leader and consultant with more than 40 years of experience in a myriad of executive level skills acquired from military service, advanced education, and employment in both the federal and private sectors. Dr. Barnett brings multidisciplinary expertise from leadership and management roles within the U.S. Army and as an Intelligence Officer within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

As a military leader, Dr. Barnett (formerly Staff Sargent) was responsible for Maintaining $2.5 million of equipment and ensuring his unit’s combat readiness. He supervised and counseled 25– 40 personnel on personal/professional development and job performance. Dr. Barnett also coordinated operations and intelligence data with higher echelons.
Building upon his military leadership skills, Dr. Barnett’s advanced degrees in education further developed critical thinking skills to find creative solutions to complex managerial and organizational challenges. Through his Master of Human Services degree, he became an agent of social change, equipped with intricate interpersonal, managerial, research, and executive presence-presentation skills. Dr. Barnett earned a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership, gaining significant understanding of the nuances that impact organizations, including culture, behaviors, structure, history, and purpose
